Traveling to Pariaman,West Sumatra, Indonesia

West Sumatra is one of provinces in Indonesia. It is homeland of MINANGKABAU people, one of the largest ethnic group in Indonesia with its rich and beautiful culture and heritage.
The name of Minangkabau means triumphant buffalo.

Many scenery can be seen here, like mountains, canyons, valleys, lakes and beaches.
West Sumatra is a great place for lovely food, its cuisine is one of Indonesia's best dishes.

In the capital of West Sumatra, PADANG, has several houses built in traditional architecture, including The Padang Museum which houses objects of cultural and historical interest.
Padang has beach called Bungus with its white sands,is good for swimming and boating.

One of attractive city in West Sumatra is PARIAMAN. It is a coastal city, with several rows of pine trees along the beach.

It has popular annual festival called TABUIK., comes from the word "Ark" from the Arabic language which means accompany. Tabuik ceremony is tradition in the west coast ofWest Sumatra, precisely in Pariaman.

Tabuik is one of agenda in the annual in Pariaman. This is icon to one of the tourist area which was attended by thousand of people of indigenous, domestic and foreign tourists.
